Armando Pisacane was born on May 10th, 1935 in San Mauro Cilento. His parents, both farmers, they took him from an early age to work in the fields, where many arms were needed. In 1959 he moved for 13 years to Germany, in Stuttgart, in search of fortune and a more comfortable life: working in the fields was not enough.

Today, at 84, he has returned to work the land in his native town: he tends to his garden where tomatoes naturally grow. He also grows eggplants, peppers, leafy greens, and he ,collects olives and he produces produces his own olive oil, which is a food more than a simple seasoning for the people of Cilento.
