We went to the historic “Gorizia” pizzeria in Vomero, where the owner, Salvatore Grasso, welcomed us with great openness right from the start. Enterprising and friendly, Salvatore proved to be a true storyteller, ready to share with us the history of his family, a fundamental pillar in his life, as the management of the pizzeria has been passed down through generations, starting with his grandfather. Among the various stories he told us, there is the one about De Crescenzo, who, during his university years, had briefly worked at the pizzeria. However, his employment lasted only a week due to a dispute with Salvatore’s grandfather. This anecdote, imbued with humor and nostalgia, allowed us to perceive the liveliness and family atmosphere that permeates the place. Not only
were we able to appreciate Salvatore’s passion for his family heritage, but we also witnessed the wonderful relationship he has established with his staff. Jokes and laughter are part of everyday life, which testifies to his ability to create a serene and joyful working environment. Salvatore has proven to be not only a skilled entrepreneur but also a humble person tied to traditional values. His dedication to his pizzeria and his team demonstrates a deep attachment to his roots and a genuine passion for his craft.
